USN from 82-90. C-130s in Hawaii first enlistment then Tomcats out of Oceana. 2 cruises on the Sara. Flight deck troubleshooter. This vid makes me miss it ALOT. My daughter is in now. Carrying the torch for the family. My wife was Navy and my oldest was Army. Thanks to all of you who served. Too many people take our military for granted. Don't forget to thank a vet or active duty ersonnel if you see them.

I spent 3 1/2 years on that tub. Flight deck snipe. Was glad to get out but I have some great memories. The flight deck fire was scary. A4 dropped a fuel tank on takeoff. Lit the whole rear deck up.

On the Indy from 95-97 with VF-21 and VS-21 as a plane captain. Thanks for the memories.

Was a Radioman 2 on the USS Forrestal, from 1955-1959
Watching the Indy brought back some good memories.
Thanks for posting,
John

@tailspin37 Glad you enjoyed the video. It is a film to tape transfer. We used to have couple nicknames for the Forrestal. We referred to it as the USS Zippo or the USS Forest Fire. I'd love to hear some of the nicknames for the Indy!
