He was born in Tokyo, Japan, and assumed the title of dōshu on January 4, 1999 following the death of his father, Kisshomaru Ueshiba. He is a grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of aikido. He graduated from Meiji Gakuin University with a degree in economics.

  • i would hate to tango with this guy

  • i tell you this now if you do a fall wrong and you land on your hip theres a 95% chance you will never pratice aikido again, most because of the pain caused by the fall and 2nd because you seriously crack the bone and need surgery to reattach it.

  • very good

  • Its very skillful, but these fellows are REALLY attacking him.

  • attack me :)

  • Shiho-nage,kotagaesh,kaiten-nage,irimi-nage,suwari-waza nice, nice how I miss the old dojo days at the Aikikai.Oh, and always the ever transforming Kokyu-nage.Was that 'Waka-sensei' grandson of Osensei? Our Shihan was the late Akira Tohei.

  • @naughtyauntieemma @93cian if someone attacked him who doesn't know how to fall, he could easily snap a bone. I would know ... I broke my collarbone last year because I didn't do a break fall. When done properly, Aikido (the "way of harmonized energy" after all) looks effortless. But there is a LOT of power channeled into those falls, and if that channeling is broken then yes, it will not only look more powerful but could seriously harm. We can only see power when it clashes, not when it flows.

  • Very Nice Sensie
