Is there adequate understanding of gender pressures and inequalities in Indian society? Is education, the supposed cure of all evils helping fix Indias gender inequality? This session will hear men and women from diverse contexts share their compulsions and desires, their views on gender equality, and how India can change its attitude towards half of its population.

@Perihelion99 Blah blah is anyone else tired of hearing about women's rights or just freedom in general? In order to be free you must first be at peace with yourself and by doing this you'll open the cell you didn't know was encircling your spirit prior to your transcendence of consciousness. Humans are obsessed with DRAMA and we all know it, that's the problem however we've come a long way. Stop caring what people think and you'll be free, : ))

@ayesha3156 what has islam given its women ?? Mukhtar Mais? ur religion does not even allow you to show your face, since your men don't have something called self-control. A woman walking without the hijab can be subjected to any form of abuse. Please tell me what kind of women has islam produced besides the subservient kind. Islam is the root of most the global issues that prevails through our world...the scourge of mankind.

confidence in women and self respect is only possible if a women is allowed to live alone and before she gets married because then she is more likely to feel that she can live independently and not dependent on men. That will increase her confidence and she will be more strict in the house. if she is too dependent she will be bowing down to a man.
