This series of short piano lessons is based on the techniques I used to teach one of my sons how to play "Star Wars" by John Williams. Don't worry if you've never had piano lessons before, or if you've never read a note of music - I'm going to try to design these lessons to be easy to follow and fun to play! Even though this is a challenging version of the classic Sci Fi movie theme, I'm hoping that by breaking things down, everyone can discover the joys of reading music.

  • hey what is your iphone doing and what is tablet thing with the blue ring? im just curious. your videos rock.

  • @TravisFlepper I'm using my iPhone as a digital "stopwatch" to make sure I don't go overtime with the video (YouTube has a 10 minute limit). The tablet with the blue ring is a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet, which attaches to my laptop via a USB cable and allows me to draw on the music with a digital pen. The program that allows me to draw markings on the music is MusicReader, which you can learn more about at AirTurn -dot- com

  • You ROCK. Thanks times a million.

  • Thank you, and you're welcome times a million right back at you :)
