Thanks to capitalist, greed driven companies like Shell (who have tremendous political control) we aren't given another option for fuel. Do you seriously believe they haven't found an alternative synthetic fuel? Please. If Shell can go and ruin the Arctic thanks to fucking idiots like you who support it there isn't much hope left for the world.

And smart people who know what they are doing supplement solar energy w/other sources cause U cant rely on every day sunny. Biodiesel comes from? Fastfood grease. Ethanol aka biofuel comes from? distillery (same as "moonshine"). Altern. energy comes from? Wind, Sun, Water, Methane (aka shit fumes), Hydrogen (released from H2O using electrolosis) etc. Seems like you haven't educated yourself on the subject much. As for my food, I live in the country &make a habit of buying local &grow what I can.

While U're paying increasing amounts of $ on oil I'll be saving increasing amounts of $ on altern. energy. Big oil is pocketing $ that U could B saving. Instead of paying over a $100per mo 2the electric co, w/extra energy prod by an efficient altern. energy setup back feeding in2 the grid, the electric company pays me. BTW ethanol IS biofuel. Its in all fuel sold @gas stations &both biodiesel &ethanol can be made at home. Either can be used w/normal cars. I pay taxes via employment &property.
