That was exactly what I wanted to know . So if the 6.2 produces that power effortlessly , does that mean the 6.2 engine is less prone to wear and tear ?

@nielsboex Few reason for one they can get more power for future models while M3 cant with out some serious mods such as turbo or supercharger and same goes for RS4. While this engine can produce over 600HP with out no force induction systems. Another reason is torque raw power and sound that 6.2 produces.And the last reason is while 4.0 and 4.2 engines are working hard to produce 450hp 6.2 hand build V8 wont even break a sweat

@nielsboex Because this is basically the same engine which produces 570 HP in the sls. It is a much tuned down version of that engine. You can get a sports package on this very car that will bring the HP up to 480. That is a lot more than BMW or Audi have in this class, however driving fun is not just about HP as Chris here demonstrates.
