Broadcast 8/20/08--Ignoring critical monitoring alarms in the ICU(Intensive Care Unit)at the Robert J. Dole VA Hospital in Wichita,KS. Our US Senator Robert's and Congressman Todd Tiahrt's refusal to investigate, BIZARRE!!! But maybe this is normal for Kansas: the home of BTK(the serial killer), the toilet seat lady and stepping over murdered convenience store clerks to get a pack of cigarettes. How can we let this injustice and criminal behavior towards our veterans continue??? again in this situation one individual with the employees of thousands throughout the United States would do their job professionally and respectfully. You have individuals in the police department out of thousands of police officers serving it seems as though you always have one who slips by and brings discredit to the uniform he or she wears in this case the person who's doing this should be prosecuted the full extent of the law. I believe the issues raised are very serious and as the recent memo pointed out, they continue to present a risk to patient safety. I want the nurses and staff whose job it is to monitor the alarms investigated by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
