@Paleolutheran From my study I understand Christ to be two persons, one eternal sonship with two aspects, divine (eternal) and human (temporal). So the union is a covenantal union of sonship, not an ontological union that leaves you with a mutable deity and a generic blob of human attributes. The hypostatic union has always attacked the full deity and humanity of Christ.

@Paleolutheran I am simply defending the possibility of truth. The hypostatic system has failed to unify the Christian world. When you see two groups, the iconoclasts and the iconodules making contradictory arguments tht are logically deduced from the same principle, the hypostatic union, this tells me that principle has sprung from the mind of a man, notthe mind of God.

@Paleolutheran How woud you like it if every time you objected to something I believe I said, "Oh that's a mystery, that's a paradox." In your other video you made a rigid logical inference from Calvin's denial of the communication of attributes and inferred that this implies two persons. What if I were to reply, Oh paleo, that's a paradox? It would be hypocritical nonsense for me to do that wouldn' it.

@Paleolutheran I am not denying revelation, I am simply demanding from scripture that the system of Christin doctrine must be rational becasue God is rational, has made us in his image and has constructed the whole Bible commensurate with classical logic. Need I remnind you that if you deny this you cannot believe in truth.

@Paleolutheran I think you are confused. The point I am making is that Biblical revealtion is my axiom. From the Bible I see that God is logical, and by that I am refering to classical logic. 1 Cor 14:7 teaches the law of contradiction. Understanding requires distinctions, that is classical logic. I wrote an article on the Philosophy of Logic on my site with many verses to prove this.
hey guys, see sermon index dot net and listen to the message entitled "dividing the brothers hinders personal revival "

@MrPaulVanRavenswaay I will also caution those who find this gentleman interesting Christ's warnings concerning the false leaven.

@Paleolutheran Leaven according to Christ is hypocrisy. Unity is in the HOLY Spirit. Romans 16:16 and following.

@MrPaulVanRavenswaay Christ also says in Luke 11:52 that the pharisees and teachers of the law representing Israel in the past took away the key to knowledge because they have not entered and hindered others from entering. This is connected in 11:51 with the death of priests who died while doing sacrifices (Abel and Zechariah are listed). Christ will also be killed by them while doing His sacrifice and in so doing that generation would be held guilty for all. The key is who He is.

I am a Calvinist and I must say the the hypostatic union cannot function within the system and i ahve rejected it. As the gentlman below mentioned, Calvinism is rational, the hypostatic union is not. it leaves the door open for everyone to use the arguement of mystery/paradox. This makes truth impossible.

@drakeshelton I'm sorry you feel that rationalism and human reason as we understand it is what you really agree with. I also see that you seem to deny the hypostatic union, thus invalidating Matthew 16:16...because that is not revealed by flesh and blood (like reason), but REVEALED by the Father.
