Anyone know anything about history? Border security has increased significantly in the last 20 years, yet so has the flow of illegal immigrants. There are few or no jobs in wide swaths of Latin America. People will come to this country for jobs in order to feed their families. No amount of walls will change that. We could ignore this and waste billions on border infrastructure. But our efforts will be futile.

Illegal immigration is a problem of economics. Everyone needs to remember that.

Skin color is a non-issue. If you clean your ears out and reconnect your logic bone, you'll discover that I'm against illegal immigration, not "brown people." It's rather insulting to lump those two distinctions together, particularly to those who happen to have brown skin.

Come legally.  Assimilate. Enjoy the rights and uphold the responsibilities of citizenship/legal residency in this great country called America.

Hmm "no borders" No borders. So if a country does not have borders is it a country anymore? Sounds to me like we have some people who are in support of letting ANYONE AND EVERYONE in while taking the USA off the map.

ALSBASEMENT- It has proven to work.  When ZERO tolerance is put in place at the border which is no catch and release it works. Along with more agents, more cameras, more unmanned aircraft and yes a double layer fence maybe even a wall in some parts the border can be secure. U forget we have terrorists, drugs, fleeing criminals etc also comming in the open borders. The borders MUST be secure.

Great points jj. Corrupt government is simply incompetent management of resources. Those governing could serve their own interests better by competent governance. Everyone seeking their own best interest is what creates democracy and what holds it together. These aliens should seek their best interests in their own countries they love more than the US.
