I'm part irish, but i don't even celebrate my history. First off, i dont know much about it and secondly, because by 6 o' clock where I live all of the pubs are over flowing with people irish and non irish who are their to drink. St. Patrick's day was meant to celebrate St. Patrick, an Irish ST. But then it turned into celebrating the culture and race of the irish people. Now it's just a Drinking day in some parts. i dont really have an opinion, just the facts.

Im from Dublin, I was in town today and the Tempel Bar Area was packed full of people, dancing, singing and of course..drinking! St.Patrick was a patron Saint. Its got nothing to do with Irish History like the 1916 rising or anything like that. When most people celebrate they drink. Today was the biggest day of the year, if your Irish, to celebrate. . If you want to sit at home and watch telly today thats fine. The Irish maybe known for there drinking, but the English arnt any better.
