  • hey I have a Kenwood in dash monitor..I want to hook up my xbox 360 as well...I know I need a pretty high inverter and wire it straight to my battery with thicker wire...my main question is how long will the battery last when running it while turned off? does it have any effects on the alternator? I mainly need while I'm at work with the car parked and it turned off, obviously I'd turn the car on every hour or whatever to recharge.

  • @0verd0se87

I never tried it with the car turned off so i'm not sure, i only ever used the xbox a few times.

  • The passenger can :P

  • hey im putting a kenwood dnx7140 in my tacoma, i got a 100v power inverter, did your car just need a 300 or somethin, i thought the 100v ones covered all cars

  • im not sure how much 100v is in watts but u need 200watts or something to run an xbox

  • Don't get that shit LCD its 7 inch. And shit

  • Wow the point is to play live in car

  • For those thinking about it I would not recommend it because if the car is on the move and you are playing the game the xbox will be shaking which will scratch disc and possible red ring that's just to help those who wanna do it

  • this was officialy filmed with a great quality cooked potato :P

  • if i do this i would just buy a couple batteries put them in the trunk hook them all to gather and then hook them to the main battery so they charge with it and you have more time to play with out running the car :)

  • i had the original xbox hooked up in my car through an inverter no problem...i have an optima battery so it ran a good hour with the car off...xbox 360 needs a very strong inverter connected straight to battery.

  • dude, does the lcd get it's power by the inverter, too?

  • @scottyboii1990 volts rate power capacity while watts rate current. amps & watts are both units of current rate, & can be converted to each other by: watts= amps x volts & amps= watts/volts. While turned on, a 360 uses about 170 or 180 watts playing a game, 150 at the dashboard, 120 playing a DVD, & 2 on standby. Right now all i got in my truck is a 200w inverter & a 12v deerfeeder battery(smaller than a car batt & designed for consistent amp flow), so i just have my PS2 slim hooked up.

  • Lol you got a RROD
