  • It is a 466 cu in, 500 HP Big Block Ford.. A few years back it ran a 12.89 second run at Norwalk Raceway....Not bad for a full size car....

  • Wow..what memories..my dad bought the exact same car in 64..I was 11..He kept it till 68 when he traded for a 68 Galaxy fastback 2 door A/T had a 390 and was the first car I ever drove..hell I took my license test in it.

  • I've got a '64 Custom myself with the 352 and Cruise-o-matic trans. Original engine was a 223 6 cyl and 3 on the tree. White with the blue interior. Hopefully soon it will have the 429SCJ and automatic I had built for it by this summer. We'll see. ; )

  • My father had 64 custom 500 with a straight 6 three on the tree and power nothing.

I was only 14 when it stopped running and I started to fix it for 2 years. Had a spun rod and made a bronze bushing to put in there just to get few more miles out of it.

Only got to drive it a couple of times when I was 16. You had to have muscle to drive it that's for sure.

My older brother took it out and broke the shifter off the tree and that's was the end of my first car.

    Thanks for the memory's

  • That's awesome, My mom bought her 63 Galaxie from a Gas Station in New Smithsville, PA back in 79 and now I have taken ownership of it and sharing it with my 7 year old son. (he would be driving it anytime soon) and I also have a 64 Custom Galaxie that I bought in 94 which is apart right now waiting to be brought back to life as a 60 style Gasser.

  • Probably the best year Ford had in regards to style, performance and value. A real champion!

  • don`t lose it dude

  • Love the old gas station. And the old 64 she is bad ass.Nice car man
