Atheists are immoral -- debunked

A common criticism of atheists is that they have no values, no moral compass, and a philosophy of "if it feels good, do it." But is that really borne out by the evidence? And, if not, where does their moral compass come from?

From the news I must say that lots and lots of Christians act like animals, if bad behaviour is animal like. People who justify and even glorify their worst ugliest personal hatreds and bigotries with the bible, people who pray sick children to death, and beat their kids to death while pretending to be special forgiven little saints doing god's work.

That tells me everything I need to know about their nasty antiquated beliefs.

From my experience there are good & bad people. Religion doesn't dictate whether they are good or bad. However in the Pentecostal faith there does seem to a number of self appointed authority figures, that are happy to preach hell to young children & who behave immorally. I have seen this with my own eyes. I now associate self interest, dishonesty, hypocrisy, prejudice, intolerance, immorality & even hatred with born again christians. I find this rather sickening.

I think I could now answer the point made in your other channel, about the "evo" who was asked why he was collecting for a charity when he believed in "survival of the fittest". See, in this case, "fittest" would refer to the over-all health of the community. A healthier community would directly benefit the individuals of that community. Thus by helping others we help our selves. A conclusion I was able to come to without needing a god.

Well I am simply devastated to find out that atheism doesn't lead to immorality, wickedness and corruption. I was so looking forward to it. Mebbe I'll try Mormonism next. I hear you get your own planet when you die. Good deal!

@kingspider1000 is slavery moral? Is condemning several Billion people to hell for not believing in your God moral? Spanish inquisition? Witch trials? Animal sacrifice? Stoning children to death for disobeying? That's all the stuff your god commands. It's right there in the Bible. There is no way to explain slaughter if babies whether metaphor, not literal or as example to be good in any way. None. So, is killing babies moral?

@Kingspider1000 would you break a commandment to save a life? Would you lie or kill to save your child? The commandments are pretty clear. They don't say thou shalt not kill unless....there is a world full of non christians, where do they get their morality? Why is Hovind in jail? Why did priests rape boys? There are plenty of Christians that do horrible things. God tells moses to kill children and rape women. Where's the morality?

What is this NONSENSE ? If You believe in macro evolution the why say u are Moral , Moral is not something which evolves through inteligence , does it ?

How do you know whether you are moral or not if you dont have a law as a reference ? A thief who robs 10 houses says Iam a good man , cos there are people who kill others !
