Torrential rains have caused widespread destruction throughout Pakistan. Rain began on 28/29 July, 2010 and quickly wreaked havoc, destroying property, houses, infrastructures and crops. This video report highlights the situation after the breakage of Chackdara Bridge in the area.

There is a logistics problem due to breakage of Chackdara Bridge to the upper parts as Dir Lower & Dir Upper, Bajour & Chitral; the region is already cut off from the rest of the country for the last two weeks and to move large stocks of food and other relief items by road is impossible at the moment.

The flood affected people were more concerned about there movement across the river Swat at the Chackdara Bridge point then other issues; one affected said," due to the breakage of the bridge every one every one is suffering".

Relief activities of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, NCHD, Ministry of Social Welfare & Malakand Levies.
