@goldxmonkey Well, it is clear that Cal feels it is not right for UCLA to use the song in any capacity. This is Cal's fight song, always has been. It is embarrassing (and irritating) to hear two seperate universities (no matter what their organizational ties are) playing the same song during the same game. UCLA should simply use the fight song they finally came up with in '82. As a outsider, I would say the Cal fight song is not worth fighting for in the first place. Let them have it.

I love how they just stayed there for a good 20 seconds after the music stopped with the "Cal" script on the field.

i wouldnt say UCLA stole it, every UC shares the song as well as the colors blue and gold.
it was Cal's first, but IMHO i think UCLA made it better.
The UCLA and Cal's scripts are both cool.
btw, as a UCLA fan, im not trying to start something, i respect Cal as a school.

...except they have no sound. Honestly, they look good, but they can't project for shit. I had to listen to the announcer to figure out what they were playing.

The camera was up at the pressbox and the speakers for the announcer were near the camera. Plus, the Rose Bowl was made in such a way that the sound just disappears and doesn't resonate in the stadium because it's so flat.

agreed. Even drum corps couldn't fill the stadium at DCI like they usually do.

Yeah I was at DCI Championships at the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl doesn't do well for acoustics.
