The Victory
Written by Teddy H Craig
Sung to the tune: The Rose
Some say love it is a fountain
that flows from deep within
Some say love it is the stillness
Midst the raging blowing wind
Some say love it is a river
with no beginning and no end
I say love He is a mountain
that has covered all my sin
It's His heart that was once broken
Due to me upon the cross
It's His word to me now spoken
Teleo (tel-eh'-o) - I've paid the cost
[It means PAID IN FULL - John 19:30]
It's His corn of wheat once planted
To bring forth His church divine
It's His all for me once given
To make me His and Him now mine
When your nights been dark and lonely
and your road has been too long
and you struggle in the silence
and you feel you can't go on
Just remember wretched sinner
on that cross at Calvary
Hung the love of God - now risen
Christ for you
the victory
[Alternate ending]
When your nights been dark and lonely
and your road has been too long
when you struggle standing still
and you think you can't go on
Just remember wretched sinner
[wretched - based on Romans 7:14-25]
on that cross at Calvary
Hung the love of God - now risen
Christ for you
the victory

To the person who wrote me about the video...
I could care less about the pictures or words, I use it only for the melody, so if it's a big problem then send me a copy with a single picture with just the melody and I'll gladly replace this one with that one. The piano (the sound) is all that I need from it.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.

I really like the melody of the song The Rose; but, the words did not really scream out Christ to me. That's why I took 3 hours, and by the help of His Holy Spirit I rewrote it, and now I share it with all of you here.
If you want to sing it at church, feel free, no need to ask me for my permission to use the words. Everything that I have, all of it altogether is His, and every poem or song He helps me put online is public domain. Amen.
...freely you have received, freely give. [Matthew 10:8]
