S.P.U.D are one of my all-time favourite NZ bands and "Breakdown Town" is brilliant !!! SO DIRTY

Saw this band 1990 in Sydney - & loved them - a mixture of the Birthday Party and Jesus Lizard ( does this pre date JL?). Recently played 'Sour' & it still was a very powerful record similar to that live show - just when you thought it was going to fall apart - the great riffs and intoxicating sneering vocals won you over.

18 years ago I used to get f****d up and go see them. Now I can't hear so well, but I wouldn't have missed them for the world. Wailing Bongo, Uni Waikato, Hamilton NZ c 1990 - great
