Above is a British Video of ROCKABILLY JIVE or " Teddy-Boy Jive " Kav is the top British expert, teacher & demonstrator of this type of Jive. Please contact him through his website above.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not confuse this dance with Ballroom Jive ( which is also called Competition Jive )
Ballroom Jive Clip Here :

Another form of Jive is MODERN JIVE (which is also called " Ceroc " and Leroc )
This dance was developed in the 1980's in London and is popular in the UK and Australasia ( ie. Oz & NZ ) This is Different in many ways to 1950's Jive. Clip here : http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VRsy8pqAqlQ Note that Ceroc is a trading name. So unless you have bought a franchise you have to call it " Modern Jive " This Ceroc dance is based on " French Jive " a clip of which is here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=c3shWOh2TOQ Another base source of ceroc is Merengue Salsa.

In this clip, Ceroc is being danced to a fast music ( only shows as Ceroc in the second half of this 1980's clip )

  • Could anyone please tell me the name of that piece of music that commences at the 02:21 mark? I often dance to it at one of my local Women's Institute Military Two-step evenings.
