Getting into ARU is quite easy; you have to apply..and they will accept your application, no matter your grades. It's one of the easiest universities in the UK to get into, but on the other hand, it is, no so surprisingly, one of the lowest rated universities as well. Cam is a nice city, but it have not much to do with ARU, but with Cambridge University. Cambridge is one of the World's top 5 universities, whereas ARU isn't even in the top 100 in the UK; and it's invisible on world rankings.

@guitar999able Many universities (including Cambridge), calculate your degree's class from your final year. There are many positives to - you could mess up your 1st year, retake the year and can still end up with a good degree; for many degrees you may be forced to study courses you dont like in your first year (and do badly), and only choose specialist ones you like in your third year (and do better). if you did well for the first few years, it will help out with knowing the basics anyway.

This university made a decision which ruined my life and I was powerless to do anything. They decided that my degree should be calculated in the final year only!! 80% of my assessments did not count towards my grade! Do your research before you decide who you choose. Just like all the people that have caused this recession they are paid 50k for making such incompetent decisions...are there is nothing that you will be able to do about it. It's your money!!

I hope that anyone who studies at ARU has a good time, but the vast majority of those who have, and I have spoken to, were deeply disappointed, let-down, and traumatised by the whole experience. ARU wants student fees—preferably the higher foreign student fees—and your free advertising, end of story. They are an embarrassment to Cambridge University, and a disgrace to Cambridge. Don't legitimise their poor service by wasting your time and money on them.
