it's AS-TER-ISK not ASTRIX.
Astrix is a cartoon character.

you sound exactly like Wikus van der Merwe, even the intonation and rhythm of your speech. Oh! I haven't shown you a picture of my wife! Here she is, my angel. I tell people she actually looks like an angel, you see here? The white looks like a halo on her head. Can you see that? She's my angel, you're picking that up on your cameras there! They probably won't keep that in the film but...

@mushkamusic - Luckily I don't live near district 9 so the prawns aren't much of a problem in my suburb :) Still a nuisance though.

Hey @AeKDzTeCh. We got some client using Asterisk in 24hr call centres with 50 seats. Works great. Can even have active-active fail-over cluster in place to ensure no down time!

Thank you for your response.
Does the pbx setup work with an analog card to connect to the pbx server, instead of the ISDN card, and have an out to the analog phone rather than to purchase VoIP phones? I much rather go the analog route instead of using the ISDN card. Would it work?

you can use an analogue card but its much more expensive. You will need to use an ATA adapter for the analogue phones. They cost about 1/2 that of the cheapest IP phones.
