New Hymn - "We Are One"
camcorded live 06 September 2009;
used as a Communion Hymn for the final Sunday at Redeemer of Wayne Burcham-Gulotta
This is a new hymn, music and words, written by Wayne in 2008 for the Church of the Redeemer, Episcopal
Morristown, NJ, 07960, USA
"We Are One"
1) We are one with parents nurture,
all generations before.
We are one with all our future
in God's children we adore.
In us all the cosmos dwells;
we find love, truth, light and peace;
in us all we honor this place.
Namaste! We are one.
2) We are one with spouse or partner,
diversity here can be.
We are one with all our neighbors,
in whose face our God we see.
In us all the cosmos dwells;
we find love, truth, light and peace;
in us all we honor this place.
Namaste! We are one.
3) We are one with bound'ry breakers,
the world for all, land and sea.
We are one with all peacemakers,
who have visions meant to be.
In us all the cosmos dwells;
we find love, truth, light and peace;
in us all we honor this place.
Namaste! We are one.

Two other options for the last line of the Refrain:
Option 1: Shalom! For we are one!
Option 2: God's peace! For we are one!
"Namaste (Nuhm-uh-stey)" is a Sanskrit word, a spoken greeting on meeting or parting. While there is no easy translation into English, it shows respect, honor, and peace.
