This is a 30 second test clip recorded with the Canon Vixia HF10, at full quality 1080i60 in PF mode.
The video was then transcoded / downsized to FLV format at 1280x720 7mbps and de-interlaced to 30p using the Adobe Media Encoder included with CS4.
At these settings, the resulting 30 second clip is roughly 25mb in size, and took about 5 minuets to encode on an AMD Opteron 185 dual core system (each core overclocked to roughly 3 ghz), 2GB ram, Windows 7 RC1.
As a side note, the resulting F4V file looked quite nice, Youtube's SD down convert looks pretty bad.

Looks awesome. Pity my sony handycam cost the same in 06.. no comparison at all heh. Would love to get something clean like this.
