@iwantcompletecontrol the thing is the pistols were revolutionary, causing shock and awe, chaos all that kind of shit, which is what made em awesome and legit i guess, the clash took a less "violent" approach as you said nevertheless having almost the same impact

@cavellpunk01 Yes, imagery is powerful... which is why the Clash never wore swastikas. With the National Front and all the racism going on at that time, they wanted to bring people together, not incite violence or go after the "shock value." To each their own, but to me that says a lot about what kind of band the Clash were vs. what kind of band the Pistols were. I still like listening to the Pistols every now and then, but the Clash are a band you carry with you for the rest of your life.
