I am male, I live in a country called America where female genital mutiliation is rare but the opposite, male genital mutiliation is common. My parents decided to forgo this ritual when I was born, and I will make sure my children's mother agrees to in turn spare my children from it. I never forgot watching the original interview circa 1997. It was the first time I understood what FGC was. I am not sure if it was she who said this but I saw someone saying that in some tribes the girls are dragged in front of the village and the clitoris and labia are cut out with a sharp ROCK and then the outter labia scraped so the two sides will fuse together. She is bandaged waist to knees for 28 days and hopefully the infection doesn't kill her. FACK

You know men do this in their country apparently so that their women will not cheat on them. It is a way to keep women subservient to them, what they realize is that if they were good men, kind men. If they weren't assholes, maybe they wouldn't have to worry about such things as their women leaving them. This is honestly disgusting, they have no right to take pleasure away from a woman, it is there for a reason.
