One of my earliest musical influences. Never noticed how he resembled John Lennon when he let his hair down, especially in the eyes, most noticeable in the 1st of this series.
i agree, songs from a gravel road is wonderfully heartwarming--yellowhead to yellowstone,is a true work of art even with the voice a little different, hjr still sounds great. tunes run through my head all day long; gets me through my day for sure. he is a brilliant treasure, truly loved by many. thank goodness for ian
Anyone know where I can get a copy of this documentary? or if there are plans to release it on DVD? Not only would I love a copy, but when I show these clips to my dad and grandfather they'll be wanting one too!
Oh, it is an incredible album. His newest album, Yellowhead to Yellowstone and other love stories (2009) is exceptional as well. A little different voice, but still breathtaking!
Thanks so much for sharing all these parts of the documentary. I certainly enjoyed it and learned a number of facts. This sounds like a fine song--I need to pick up the album, _Songs from the Gravel Road_.
We don't get the channel this was on, so than you for posting. Ian's ranch is about 1 hr south of where I am. Thanks again.

Oh man this song is bringing tears to my eyes. It's the first time I've heard it and it already has this effect. Writing/music/voice to perfection.
