faye flood destroys house idiot boater sends wake into flooded homes

this is where my dad and my step mom retired to, a beautiful little house on the river. they loved the peaceful tranquility of the st mary's river near macclenney florida. everyone knows the danger of this river rising, however, this was the second major flood in four years ( above the 100 year flood levels )...what you are seeing is the water level when we evacuated my dad and step mother. The water continued to rise another three feet after this. By the way, even though the electric meter and outlets were completely submereged, the house still has not lost power...crazy...it is sill on right now, under three feet of water,...somebody please explain this.
Anyway, i know my dad will try to get back to his place, i will help him raise the house about 7' high..this should be fairly easy...any advice is welcome...thanks
