I am not particularly a fan of this cover, I am a big fan of the original and Pavement in general, but who cares if she covered it? She is paying homage to a great song and a great band, and fans of hers might hear this song and listen to the original, bringing Pavement more favor. Do you think Stephen Malkmus cares Cat Power covered his song? He'd probably be flattered and think it was cool. It's a cover; get over it. It's a reinterpretation. WWSMD?

People need to realize this is a COVER. It doesn't have to be anything like the original with just the same lyrics in all honesty. Learn to appreciate or at least give constructive comments instead of "get in the kitchen". It works wonders.
