I had seats both in the corner and both between rows 20 and 30. As for buying better seats, when I already spend 100 dollars to fly 300 miles for a football game, I can't afford to buy 50 yardline seats. Also, for the USC game, it sold out days after tickets went on sale so I had trouble getting good seats.
Finally, at the U$C-Cal game in berkeley, I had almost the same seats in a similar row and location (both in the corner) but I could see the whole field in berkeley but just a corner of the endzone in Pasadena and I needed binoculars when the ball was on the other end of the field. Memorial stadium is in a better location and has better sightlines than the rose bowl.
plus, memorial stadium is going through a 125 million dollar renovation to add luxury suites, club seating, nicer seats, nice plazas in the outside, and more whereas honestly after going to the UCLA game at the rose bowl, it is the most bland stadium I have ever been in, and I go to McAfee Coliseum a lot.
i think a school that is titled University of California, Los Angeles qualifies as being in Los Angeles just because the football stadium and the campus technically aren't within the city limits
So what you're really saying when you do this chant is... "We're so bad that any team that actually loses to us must be overrated!"
nice.
