I went to the University of Cape Coast in Ghana to study for fall semester of 2011 and came home after one month instead of four and a half. Watch my raw, unadultered reaction after my first night in the dorm (which is ten years old). Please excuse the cinematography; my roommate is a 49 year old bipolar, schizophrenic, ex-drug addict who still goes to college and lives with his mother.

  • We are so sorry to hear that your Ghana experience was not all you wanted it to be. We were so glad that our site coordinator could help you move rooms when you requested it. Sometimes it is hard to adjust to a new place, when it is so different (especially in terms of accommodations, running water, etc.) from the USA. A few of us on staff here in the US have lived and worked in Mali and Ghana for years and know how tough it can be.
