No, not ALL of the Covington School Districts graduates are illiterate and ignorant. But what are the odds that your kid is in the top 10% that isn't? The FACTS are clear and unmistakable. See for yourself. Seeing is believing.

  • @frankiebk1 Sounds like more of the same old excuses.

  • Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but my agenda is to have CIPS be the best educational system in the state. Period. To do that we must first educate taxpayers and parents about the DISASTER we now call CIPS. You can't fix it if you don't know how broken it is. So I *AM* doing something.

If CIPS graduates SMART, entrepreneurial, confident kids, I believe you will solve CVG's poverty problem. It's not poor kids that make schools bad, it's bad schools that destroy economic development.

  • What is your agenda? Let's see you make stellar pupils out of a population where 95% go hungry and over a fourth of them aren't sure whether or not they'll have a roof over their head tonight. Don't blame the school system when the community itself is unable to support the basic needs for the majority of the students. Ever heard of Maslow? Quit bellyaching and do something positive to make a difference! BTW - My family has 3 generations of Holmes grads - all with college degrees.
