I think some people need to read the Shaolin grandmaster texts..... Any "genuine" monk would not compete. Any genuine monk would not make films. These all massage the ego, when it's the ego we need to suppress..
That said, they're great at what they do.. And yes, I'm a fan...

I like how people have heard that shaolin is all wushu acrobatics and they repeat it. Even when viewing a video of a man demonstrating the principle of throwing by blending with an attacking energy, very high level stuff, but still... it's all wushu. Keep watching and maybe what is important might occur to you.

well then dont go train there lmao. Its a free market and they arent forcing you anything. Im sure they also tell you that they teach Sanda only so you whining about it wont help you a bit.
Besides, why should they teach you the real stuff. That shiat is priceless. You think they should learn you that for a few miserable hundred bucks? Lmao get real please. What they charge you for Sanda, isnt even really off the charts compared to other schools and styles.

shifu yanzi is best teacher i ever had he is legendary, anyone who think that what he does is for show come to the temple and see what it is about.
