http://bit.ly/b1YbkQ - Join the Waitrose wine buying team at the Leckford Estate, Waitrose's farm, for their drinks recommendations for Christmas 2011.

Pierpaolo: "Standing here in the vineyard at Leckford Estate, our own vineyard at Waitrose which we planted in 2009 with Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir and we're going to make an absolutely fantastic sparkling wine from this which will probably be launching in a couple of years time.

So at Christmas time, I come from a big Italian family and my mum always makes an enormous, big dressed salmon. And the thing that'll go with that brilliantly is a magnum of Waitrose Brut Champagne."

Ken: "So this Christmas I'd like to recommend Waitrose's Saint Emillion, which is made in partnership with Hubert du Brouillard at Chateau Angeluse in Saint Emillion. It's a classic blend of Bordeaux grapes which are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a very rich, plummy style, which would be great with roast lamb or indeed Christmas dinner."

Herchelle: "High on my recommendation list this Christmas would be Singleton Malt Whiskey 15 year old. It's from the region of Speyside, in Scotland obviously, but it's fantastic whiskey - really well balanced, lots of spicy fruitiness, very elegant and mature. And if you're looking for something as a present for somebody, that would be my high recommendation."

David: "My Christmas drinks recommendation is the Waitrose Leckford Farm Cox's Apple Cider, made from these delicious apples on the Leckford farm. I'd recommend it alongside great English cheeses - stilton or cheddar. And it really is fruity and a great accompaniment."

Andrew: "Certainly everyone loves drinking Champagne over Christmas, but a really incredible alternative is English sparking wine. Particularly down in Sussex, so Ridgeview in particular I would go for and I'll be drinking on Christmas day - absolutely delicious."
