MSNBC Panel: McCain VP Pick Could Be Leaked

Nora O'Donnell talking about McCain's veep possibly being picked in Friday, and Rachel Maddow points out that it would fall on the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting and McCain eating cake for his birthday with Bush when it happened. Pat Buchanan obviously does not understand the irony of picking a guy from a state next to the state with a bridge that collapsed on the anniversary that McCain and Bush ignored Hurricane Katrina when another hurricane is heading into the Gulf and the crowd seems to agree with Maddow.

One last note, why is MSNBC talking about McCain's veep picks instead of actually showing more of the convention which they did not let the public see most of?

why does Rachel Maddow think that republicans are responsible for the destruction of New Orleans? Ray Nagen did not do his job, neither did the democratic govenor. It was the dems who failed here as well as the republicans. jeez Rachel big stretch there.

Ray Nagen is a DINO, and Blanco was intentionally undercut by Bush and Rove to make her look bad. They cooperated wonderfully with her Republican counterparts and gave her a ration of bullshit. They played games with people's lives in order to play politics. Not surprising from the same people willing to start wars to win elections.

Katrina was not McCain's fault. The subsequent mismanagement and pure ignorance to the disaster that had unfolded are partially his fault. Rachel made that case, referring to his vote against an investigation, and the idea that anything short of the full force of government's capability to care for these newly formed refugees would be 'overreacting'.

Now I have my own opinions on our foreign aid programs, but the point is, at those turns McCain simply wished to sweep New Orleans under a rug.
