  • The funding has gone down?!!!! I thought I couldn't be shocked anymore by the Fed government's malfeasance and nonfeasance in dealing with CFIDS. This is really a slap in the face after all that's been revealed medically and about CDC's and NIH's criminal defrauding CFIDS patients.

  • Unfortunately, but not really surprising, the federal government continues to fail millions of Americans in the CFIDS patient community. Over and over, the CDC has ignored the public health crisis that is CFS. Not only do they neglect their duty to perform quality research, but once again, they misuse, abuse, and steal millions of funds that are appropriated for CFS research. Their action is corrupt, immoral, and criminal... And once again, the CFIDS Association is tasked with policing the CDC.

  • So they really haven't changed their tune? I saw William Reeves made a comment disparaging the XMRV study in today's NYTimes and thought 'HELLO, do they still not get it?'

Can you refer me to any reading about the CDC & NIH's roles/ actions since the late 1990s when Osler's Web leaves off.

  • Osler's Web is my favorite book. It really is amazing & I can't recommend it highly enough if you haven't read it. I had hoped with the ad hoc Congressional committee that had exposed some of the malfeasance that things would change. When CDC came out with the education program a couple of years back I was astounded when I read their materials on the web since the vast majority of it was accurate information.
