Hitch a ride inside the biggest Mini Cooper in town! Tulsa Kinney and Paige Wery wheel-it-'n'-heel-it to LA's Chinatown, where David E. Stone's "Unanticipated Despair (Despite Prior Naive Optimism)" is on view at Charlie James Gallery -- featuring an actual-size game of Twister made from broken glass. Then it's on to Pasadena to get a glimpse of Phantom Galleries' "The Long Weekend", a three-day festival of installations and performances inside department store showcase windows (well organized by Nancy Buchanan and Joseph Santarromana). Along the way, a stop at Stories Bookstore in Echo Park where spoken-wordsmith Colin Dickey offers a few post-mortem palindromes for the GW Bush administration.
On any given night in any given city there are many things to see and do. We invite you to explore such venues in your community. Visit those places you like and -- if you can -- spend a few bucks while you're there. Because there's a parking space in the food chain with your name on it.
