Protect Our Teen Daughters DVD Video: You may not be aware, but in Oregon today, a young girl 15, 16 or 17 years old can become pregnant and be referred to an abortion clinic without a parent ever knowing. Parental Notification is Common Sense.

  • What abunch of propoganda, the real reason the religous right want parental notification so teens will be afraid getting kicked out of the house.

  • Don't like the way things work in Oregon? Move to fucking Jesusland and live with the Bible beating yokels.

  • I have talk with parents of a 12 yrs. old that got an abortion without them knowing about it, they found out one yr later, then she was self cuting and on drugs

  • this makes for bad policy. It is saying that the right to medical privacy should be overturned with people who are under the age of 18. it seems to me this is another way of parents being involved where they need not be, if its unnecessary - and a breach of the medical privacy laws.

  • I think it's funny how the only real defence of this is "what if the parent abbuses them after they hear about it?" Don't they get that the real problem is stoping the abbuse? It's like "Oh! Poor sally! we wont tell her parents that she has a baby in her belly because he daddy might beat her! But go on home sally- back to your possibly abbusive fauther we wont tell him you might have had a baby!" Ya. good. I'm glad they didn't tell the dad! SHEESH! Get a life!

  • In the state of Oregon, 15 is the age of medical consent. We trust them to make health decisions about everything else. Ultimately, one regrettable and unfortunate experience by Felicia does not make for good public policy. I would rather her experience be repeated than put the health and safety of those girls who are not lucky enough to be in safe homes at risk. And I say this as a parent of two children AND as a health care provider.

  • I agree
