WHY would you not get an unsubbed version if you're going to take the time to make something like this?!

Since I made this almost three years ago, I'm going to have to only guess my motives. I think it was because I had already downloaded one with subs to watch and to get the whole series again without subs would have taken a hella long time. And generally, all these things started randomly one night with a spark of an idea and were finished in less than two days, so it would have somewhat halted the process if I were to download the series all over again.

Whoa! you're right. I just watched it. I've never seen that band put their music into the hands of a video game company, but that's rad. The game looks alot like Ico though. Ah well, Ico was awesome so I'm sure this will be too.

Wow... what can I say? This was... haunting. I am a big fan of Sigur Ros and always thought their songs would suit this anime - so I'm really glad to have found this. You have a real artistic streak in you, I couldn't have done this better!

Beautiful coice of song for this series, but the editing quality could use some work. Not just the use of subbed vs. unsubbed anime, but also things like how long you go between scene transitions. It's a slow-paced anime to begin with, and you make the video slow paced, when the heart of Sæglópur is a racing struggle.

This was just awesome 5/5. Just letting you know you should watch the trailer for the movie The Tempest. They use the song very effectively in the trailer

@starltrubymoon Because it baffles me that if you're going to put that much effort into something that you wouldn't put in the much smaller amount of effort to get a better source.

@starltrubymoon Making the AMV itself is about a thousand time harder than getting another version.

Whether or not I look at the subs intentionally bits of meaning are going to get through. Our minds are very good at recognizing the patterns that make up words whether we want to or not, and in the case of an AMV where the scene might be used for a different meaning altogether than from its purpose in the anime those stray bits destroy the creation.

its a case of either removing the subs, or downloading a raw or dubbed version

not everything can be done

just ignore the subs :/
