@sohail5 Foreign policy from 1998-04 was the best India had, otherwise why do you think Pakistan was forced to accept cross border terrorsm and it had to sign the declaration in Jan 2004 that it will not let its soil be used for anti-India acts. Thats the reason why UPA could hound, whatever little they did, Pak after 26/11. Wake up and say Vande Mataram !!! Bharat Mata ki jai!

@sohail5 shows your immaturity when you talk about appeasement.Article 370 is being used to appease Indian muslims, otherwise why do parties like Muslim league and MIM oppose abrogation of such a racial law?For the sake of peace,a ceasefire is a tactful decision,Indian army started at an advantage after the ceasefire and militancy in the valley came down by 2004.UPA was@advantage 2 continue and instead it wasted a gr8 opportunity to wipe out Islamic jihadists from the valley! @pings007 UPA's minority appeasement does not start from Kashmir, be mature, appeasing kashmiris will in no case means appeasing indian muslims.It is BJP who not only legitimated Hurriyat but also Hizb ul mujahideen by offering the ceasefire and unconditional dialogue. BJP damaged the Kashmir case of India not congress. BJP cannot escape from his doings and hide the truth by shouting slogans of so called true nationalism.

@pings007 After 1948 international community was quite about Kashmir till 1998 and also Pakistan never openly could raise issue at UN meets even when armed struggle was at peak in Kashmir. It is after nuclear test by pakistan in response of indian tests, Nawaz shariff justified the conduting of tests by Kashmir issue. Later under international pressure BJP was forced to enter dialogue with pakistan and that is why BJP did the drama of Vajpayee travlling lahore vai Bus and then lahore decleration

@sohail5 BJP did not gain political mileage due to the actions, but instead it went through hardships knowingly. India, under economic and technological sanctions, made a great statement to the world, India can no longer be subdued and suppressed and we continued to grow great even after the sanction. That is true nationalism, not sissy talk that you are talking about Hurriyat, that they have been brought on center stage, first time in decades, due to UPA's minority appeasement! Wake up!

@sohail5 LOL. Kashmir was internationalized when we knocked the doors of the UN in 1948, by stopping our victorious armed forces from moving forward. The internationalization process cannot be done twice thereafter ! It shows your understanding of your issue when you say, Nuclear tests were not required! LOL. Please restrict your ideas to yourself. PV Narasimha Rao, as PM, wanted to have the tests done but for US pressure. Vajpayee did that impossible just in a matter of a month. Thats awesome!

@pings007 What for Hurriyat was allowed to travel Pakistan? Again to state India's position? What a joke!

Please correct your self, Geelani and Hurriyat were allowed to meet Musharraf on insistance of Musharraf and under pressure from international community.

It was BJP who internationalise Kashmir issue after Nuclear test in 1998 which was not necessary to conduct at that period of time, actuall BJP wanted to gain political mileage from the readymade achievements of previous govts.

@sohail5 You should be very happy that BJP, though has clarity that entire Kashmir belongs to India, still gave Geelani and Hurriyat a chance for dialogue with Pakistan to state India's position. It is a democratic act that needs to be appreciated.

What has the UPA done? It actually made Hurriyat the de-facto voice of the Islamic secession going on in Kashmir. While in NDA, Hurriyat was just a fringe element of the Kashmiri society! You cannot question BJP's nationalism.

India should take Kashmir issue seriously and stop blame game with the cirtical issue like Kashmir and all the political parties should unite and fight for our Crown and save it from Separtist and terrorist nation like pakistan.

Govt. should clear Kashmir is a part of pakistan or it is part of India, because we can see, everyone from kashmir can burn our flag, speech against our country. PM & foreign minster not telling about it.
