  • This is not the 1962 version that was released, neither is it the 1st version on the Judd label from 1960, this is a re-recording which he did many of down the years.

  • @imanuglyfrogtoo

It definitley IS the record I bought here in UK in 1962. If I could post a picture of it I would.

  • @Buzzer365 LOL...post all the pictures you want, we both know this AIN'T the 1962 version, check out ALL the other "live on the needle" postings of this, listen to his voice, TOTALLY DIFFERENT, plus how on earth did you manage to buy this in '62 when according to your channel you're 49 yrs old, you would have had to buy it the year you were born.

  • I had a serious on and off crush on a girl named Sheila in high school 1976-78. I kissed her once and what a kiss (for me anyway)

  • great singer and song unsurpassed!!!

    so sweet and innocent!!

  • This is the version I remember from when I was 12 in '62 - I know it was this one because I was happy it was acoustic, having just started playing guitar. I got the same feeling from Walk Right In and Love Me Do. Also we were still missing Buddy Holly then, and this was a definite homage.

  • I met her in a club down in North SoHo where they drink champagne and it---Ooops, wrong song.

  • this is a great song

  • 2:05 of heaven

  • jrocuts has the posting of the recording of "Sheila" that was the USA hit

  • I think his originals had abc on them didn't they.

  • @AnalogLooney

That's interesting stuff, thanks. So this version is quite unusual eh. Another example of 'education' from the University of YouTube !.
