A lot of people aren't aware that the nuts most commonly used in raw cooking aren't actually raw. Cashews must be steamed before they are allowed to be imported into the United States, and almonds from California (which supply 80% of the world) are pasteurized.

@whataboutredlorry You can get Kelp noodles from iHerb website. They deliver anywhere and only $2.80 per bag! I haven't found them that cheap anywhere else.

@carnrick There are green kep noodles available also.

Can you explain the noodles. Are they a raw food product?

Just made these and they are absolutely amazing!!! Super tasty and comforting.
With mine, i soaked the kelp noodles in warm water to both warm them up and soften them.
I added to the whole mix finely sliced red peppers, shredded cabbage, chopped scallions and a little grated ginger. Next time i'll add a little less water to the dressing and up the soy by half tbp and add a generous tsp of fresh grated ginger.
Just fantastic! I would never have thought of making this. Very talented chef!
