Poor bird, being able to fly and eat raspberries. I should lock him in a cage and feed him seeds. In fact, I think I'll trap ALL the birds that fly outside and eat raspberries, and put them in cages... and feed them seeds.

Obviously you know nothing of bird care. Leo is a very healthy and very well trained bird. He obviousl loves his family very much and his plumage and coat show he is well maintained and has a balanced diet. Look things up before you speak. "Is better to be a fool and silent then to open your mouth and prove it"

Leo is beautiful, i just like the way birds look when they are viewed from behind because of those long beautiful wings!

Oh He is just freaking cute!! I love it!! do you have some good birdie recipe's that you feed him as well? My birds like a pasta, fruit and veggie mix I make up for them.. what kinds of things do you do with him food wise.. besides letting him love the raspberry patch.. thats awsome.. My green cheeck hybrid likes the garden with me.. he helps me pick the peas.. Ha!!! Love it!

@jedipglt I agree with everything you said, except for that last part. I say 'It's better to ask and look a fool for five minutes rather than stay quiet and remain a fool for life'. Of course, I don't usually say this in a hostile situation. It just makes your saying sound like you should always remain quiet if you're unsure of yourself, and henceforth, never actually learning the facts..

how you made him/her tame?
ps: i come from the netherlands so i don't type it very well :P

Seems to be a very well taken care of and loved little bird - any pet you get would
be fortunate.

@halfpipe247 wow. what do you know about birds? nothing. shut up, and get off the internet.

can i be your bird? im jealous
so can leo fly or did you trim his wings? how and when did you train him not to fly away when outside with you?

His wings aren't trimmed; look at his other videos.
I trained him very young... HOW to train is another story... Look up freeflight training for falconing.

i have a bird thats about 5 years old. would i be still able to train him?
joshcarbonera 4 years ago
Maybe, but probably not. Birds have a learning "window" when they learn to fly best. Once the bird is outside of this age range, it is much more difficult for them to be able to fly with skill and confidence.

uh huh...ok wouild i be able to teach him other tricks?
joshcarbonera 3 years ago
Absolutely... I will eventually post a training video or at least a link to some good training tips. Stay tuned... It might take me a while, but I'll get to it.
