George Galloway, British MP, spoke out strongly in support of the cause of a free Palestine. He ripped into Israel's military siege of Gaza, along with its ongoing blockade, which continues to put 1.7 million of its residents at grave risk to their health and safety. Galloway said the people of Gaza are "locked up." He also traced the history of Palestine, the evils of the British Empire and the massive crime of Colonialism. He referred to Israel as an "Apartheid State." The event, entitled, "Viva Palestina: A Lifeline from the U.S. to Gaza," was held on the campus of American U., in Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening, June 28, 2009. It was a fundraiser for "a special U.S. convoy, which will travel from New York City to Egypt before making its way across the Rafah border into Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid," according to the organizers press release. Galloway, who is also an author, is in the finest tradition of another legendary British MP, and champion of justice, liberty and humanity--John Wilkes. Check out: http://www.georgegalloway.com/ Mahdi Bray, Executive Director of the Muslim American Society, served as the moderator of the affair. As there was no such thing as a "Palestinian people" prior to 1967, that would make an older statement more relative - especially from a PLO leader.

Ok! So we find that the statement was made in 1977 and he was long ago assasinated. Thankyou for context.
I'm not sure of its relevance today.

You are mistaken, as usual.
There is no agreement to withdraw to 1967 borders - read the many other posts on other videos answering your lies.

I looked at the UN website I don't see any pending resolutions against Hamas, Fatah and Hizbullah as you claim, where are they?

You should really get your facts straight before you comment. so you don't look so stupid. A Peace agreement was signed by Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin and Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat on September 13, 1993. The agreement recognized Israels right to exist within its 1967 borders, and Israel agreed to withdraw to the 1967 border. 16 years later the UN, Palestinians and the rest of the world is still waiting for Israel to live up to its signed agreement and withdaw to teh 1967 border.

Hamas, Fatah and Hizbullah are also in violation of UN resolutions.
Now what part of "right to exist" is unable to penetrate that shriveled brain of yours?

What you don't seem to understand is that Israel is in Violation of UN security councel resolutions demanding that it withdraw from the territories it illegally occupies, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. There are over 100 UN resolutions against Israel more than any other country in the world. they are all listed on the UN website. Now what part of withdraw do you not Understand?
