Tempe Police Brutality - Officers cross the line between "detaining" and "torture"

Tempe police taze a recent and [now] former roommate, after he refuses to cooperate with their orders that he surrender to being cuffed. In his defense, the officers had not yet informed him as to what it was that he had allegedly done to warrant such a "request."
There are a good couple of minutes, just before this footage, where these officers used excessive force (read: closed fists) against him, when they only had cause to restrain him. I was too surprised to think to record the event, however. What I did get, however, was what the officers admit was a record for them, as tazing goes. The total was somewhere in the neighborhood of 16.

@daschlag I felt that advice was about the best I could do for my friend, who obviously would probably have fared much worse, were it not for my presence. Thanks for the nod, as I had wondered whether or not there was anything else I might have done for him.
