Wow!
Very cool!
It's like how the Canadians respect their fallen from Afghanistan.
WE NEED THIS!
We need a Ramp Ceremony for all the fallen, and a 'Highway of Hero's'!
We need to show our fallen and their families their loss will not be forgotten!
Is it sad that places like Canada mourn nationally for their troops in a amazing way, and we usually hide them away?
We need to more of this! For all our fallen!!

mindylou14, you're amazing. I'm sure if I had written "Support Commander-in-Chief Bush" you would have been fine with it. But I say support our new Commander-in-Chief Obama and it's "politics." Your bias against the Commander-in Chief (who WILL be traveling to Iraq and Afghanistan) is so transparent that it betrays a very anti-American prejudice. Are you really American or are you faking it? Sounds like you're faking it...
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS AND OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF WHO LEADS THEM.

Well first off yes I am American, born and raised thank you. I am as well VERY PROUD to live in the United States of America, the country that my husband puts his life on the line for. I don't agree with everything that Bush did and I don't disagree with everything that Obama is doing, so just to clear it up I hold no bias. As for him going to Iraq and Afghanistan, that's all fine and dandy but I assure you that he's not putting his life on the line for you and I am completely positive that if

he was asked to do so that he wouldn't have the first thought about stepping a foot out on the battle field to defend your freedom. One of the great things about America is that we have the freedom to speak out about our beliefs. And personally I feel that you yourself are prejudice against those who do not share the same ideals as yourself. My intent with my first statement was for you to not use tribute to a mans life to share your political viewpoints because it is disrespectful but again we

live in America, where you have the freedom to say whatever it is that you would like to. I hope that you use the PRIVILEGE, that soldiers have fought and died to give you, and put it to a much better use than bashing those who have opposing viewpoints. God Bless You and Happy Holidays.

@mindylou14, I wrote 2 support our Commander-in-Chief who leads our troops. You answered "How dare" I bring politics into it. SUPPORTING THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF WHO IS LEADING OUR TROOPS THAT WE ARE BOTH SUPPORTING IS UNNECESSARILY BRINGING POLITICS INTO IT??? Since u bashed me, I felt obligated to respond. If u can show me a place on the Internet in the past in which u criticized someone 4 supporting President Bush as bringing "politics" into it I will apologize most deeply. I'm waiting...

Fair enough, but why is it that people only focus on the DEAD people? The only time people here acknowledge survivors is Veteran's Day. Otherwise, it's "Let's honor our fallen soldiers" or "Let's respect families with family members who were killed at war", but never do I hear a grandchild thanking his grandparents for what they did at war, or someone thanking one of their friends after they came back home.

It just doesn't make sense to me.
