Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)~Oboe Concerto in G minor, BWV 1056 for oboe, strings and basso continuo Cologne Chamber Orchestra Helmut Müller-Brühl Christian Hommel~Oboe Lisa Stewart~Violin
@ericoschmitt Actually there is a passage at 1:19 that is omitted on this version. If we consider the reconstructed violin concerto in g minor, the lowest note played is the open g string, the lowest note. In flute, to use all the range your instrument has and including that passage, the piece can be arranged to c minor. Also in cello c minor would follow the same formula, but if you are really good at thumb positions you can always try it at g minor, but either way it would be awfully hard.
@paradoxmo yeah.. but in A minor i could play it TWO octaves lower.. i like the low notes of the cello, and only one octave lower could be better played on a Viola eheheh
thats something for the future, now i have to practice other musics
@ericoschmitt There's definitely precedent for playing it on cello (especially 2nd mvt)-- most of it would probably work an octave down from the violin reconstruction.
@ericoschmitt Gm is definitely the most likely key (harpsichord version is in F). For flute I suggest these changes:
1st mvt --- 4 before A: play --- pickup to A: 8va to B --- 1 beat before C: after B-flat, start from in-staff D and arpeggiate up to 3rd octave B-flat --- 1 beat before D: 8va to F --- 2 1/2 bars before end: 8va to end --- 2nd mvt: as is --- 3rd mvt: 8va from I to K --- 16 before end: 8va to end
2nd mvt paint's name??

there's a harpsichord concerto with this same tune, i cant decide which version is more beautiful. Bach was such a genius...
