Female escape artist Alexanderia the Great's Underwater Leap of Faith escape for Worldwide Escape Artist Relay. Alexanderia makes her first public performance on grand scale as she does a Houdini like underwater escape. The female escape artist is bound with shackles (hands and feet with 4 padlocks) , a 15 pound lead weigh belt is attached to her waist, a 5 foot chain is attached to both sets of shackles so her hands cannot be used to swimn to the surface and an additional 20 feet of chain and wrapped around and through her body to she cannopt move. A total of 9 Masterlock padlocks are used to secure her. She is bound by 55 ponds of total weight. She makes her escape from the bottom of a 12.5 feet deep pool. Watch as she tries to escape the chains, shackles and 9 padlocks in a single breath. This is why she is called the Queen of Extreme.

  • You mentioned in previous comments about how you had to undergo a ton of training. What did you do during that time? Like, did you have to do practice escapes, breath holds, or something else? This is off of curiousity; you do not have to worry about me trying to mimic what you did and hurting myself in the process lol.

  • I have been training since I was a kid. Working with all kinds of restraints. Trying to increase my breath holding ability. Even simple things like jumping into a 12.5 foot deep pool while chained up can be fatal if you fall the wrong way. Most important is being able to overcome fear and slow your heart rate down. My greatest enemy in these type of escapes is fear. It robs your oxygen and clouds your mind. Being able to hold your breath under stress is so difficult. Staying calm is key

  • Arbiter17,

I have an underwater view of this escape as one of my other videos. Check this one out type in Alexanderia the Great Underwater Leap of Faith Escape

  • Oh great...you've just held your breath under duress for over a minute, and when you're all done, your reward is...that you have to dive down 12 feet barefoot twice to receive the chains? Ha Ha. You should ask for a volunteer to swim down and retrieve your chains. Or make the lifeguard dive for you. I would do it for you.

  • hardgirl99,

Such is the life of an escape artist. Nothing easy. Do everything yourself (lol). Hey that I get a chance to dive back down to get them is a good thing. That is the scariest escape I do. The escape is aptly named as no matter how many times I do it, it is always a Leap of Faith for me that I can get out.

  • thats really awesome, u know........ it seems so impossible but of course u can do it :) got any tips???? i would love to train for that kind of stuff but i could never do that now. oh well..... great job!!!!

  • spygirl419,

This is not something you jump into. Please DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!. If you are interested in magic contact your local International Brotherhood of Magicians ring. Get with someone who knows this art before you try anything.

  • A Suggestion: Have a diver with a camera provide feed to go along with your videos.
