Thanks for your question... The answer is no. Our trucks have a bank of batteries that charge when the truck is moved from location to location, and when the truck is in the warehouse overnight, the batteries are charged. The lights and signs will run 18 hours on a signal full charge, no need to run the engine! These are great trucks! Thanks for your question.
