Another FAQ we get with Rancilio equipment is around the beans not dropping down into the burrs from the hopper. This is something we have only been hearing often for the past six months or so, and Gail hypothesizes on what the issue could be.

  • from my experience - it's not a problem of oily beans nor hopper angle. I had this issue only with larger beans (oily). Now I'm grinding coffe from different area, which has smaller (oily) beans.

  • @enakki interesting! I will pass your experience along to the crew. - Kat

  • Love how Kat uses an accent to imply that only southerners use oily beans, made me lol =D

  • @rcdrvrrc7 Ha - I didn't notice that. This is a rampant problem throughout the US, alas ;) - Kat

  • Have had the oily beans stick to the hopper but thankfully it's infrequent. A little shake takes care of it. Thanks for all the videos, they're great!

  • @tmehlman Thanks :D - Kat
