  • @steflova2 Cherries and apricots (olives, peaches ect) actually have a "stone" and not really a "seed" what this lady forgot to mention(or maybe doesn't even know) is that stones have to pass a winter before they can germinate. Your cherry stone started to mold on the outside but the 'seed' inside was probably fine. The outside of the stone has to decompose so the plant can break it open and grow. you can imitate a winter by putting the stones in the fridge for some time. I forget how long :$

  • ooh it's nice and juicy..

  • I use human poop for compost. It works really well and provides all of my Marigolds with the necessary nutrients they require. The best way to do this is to keep a 5 gallon bucket partially filled with soil in your bathroom. About once a week, instead of taking a dump in the toilet, take a dump in the bucket and then cover with more soil. Put any used toilet tissue in the regular toilet. When the bucket is full I mash it up with an old broom stick and set it in the sun to cure.

  • QUESTION: When I try to save cherry seeds, they seem to develop a fair amount of mold/fungus on them. I then become concerned that the fungus/mold is going to destroy/rot the seed. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to harvest the seed?

  • thats how we say apricot in southern California

  • Well now that you've heard it you can tell your rabbi a joke.

  • Where are you from? I ask because I have never heard anyone pronounce apricot like that before!

I have also never heard anyone refer to the flesh as the "meat".
