  • shoes on or off? when i do shoes on, they slip, but its akward for shoes to be off. I've seen lots of peopel with shoes off though.

  • On another note, Tim, have you heard of Charles Fisher's 'Off-Set' pedal? Companies like Pearl, Taye, and Sonor (especially Sonor) have in the past tried to violate his patents without necessarily violating them. (Sonor's Giant Step is a good example of that, though he let them continue to sell it- I believe the reason he didn't tell them to take all of it down is because he WANTS people to be thinking about its design. You can find it here: web.mac.com/kleidy1/Off-Set/Home.html

  • Considering some of the things I've studied in efforts to put more arbitrary values to stick heights and beater throws in an effort for a more perfect understanding of economy of motion regarding the use of the feet, while I think I'm starting to understanding the importance of swiveling the foot so as to mimic the Moeller whip, as executed with the hands, I still do not agree with swiveling being used when playing streams of notes because of a method I'm developing revolving around physics. :-/

thanks man. I've been playing barefoot lately, and developed a way to use the slide technique for double bass pedals. hopefully i can get those shoes though.

  • @Gr1zz3m

There's a shoe company that makes drum shoes. I can't post links on YouTube, but you could use google to look up "DB Drum Shoes".
