shoes on or off? when i do shoes on, they slip, but its akward for shoes to be off. I've seen lots of peopel with shoes off though.

whatever works for you overall I play with the db drum shoes they are the MOST comfortable.

On another note, Tim, have you heard of Charles Fisher's 'Off-Set' pedal? Companies like Pearl, Taye, and Sonor (especially Sonor) have in the past tried to violate his patents without necessarily violating them. (Sonor's Giant Step is a good example of that, though he let them continue to sell it- I believe the reason he didn't tell them to take all of it down is because he WANTS people to be thinking about its design. Considering some of the things I've studied in efforts to put more arbitrary values to stick heights and beater throws in an effort for a more perfect understanding of economy of motion regarding the use of the feet, while I think I'm starting to understanding the importance of swiveling the foot so as to mimic the Moeller whip, as executed with the hands, I still do not agree with swiveling being used when playing streams of notes because of a method I'm developing revolving around physics. :-/

thanks man. I've been playing barefoot lately, and developed a way to use the slide technique for double bass pedals. hopefully i can get those shoes though.
